I deleted the thread I started about who has the most dolls. I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings or make anyone feel bad or inferior or any less of an AG lover. I have Asperger's and I sometimes am too honest or say things and don't know that I'm doing something wrong.
I know the dolls are expensive and having 1 or 2 dolls is just as meaningful as having more. I myself often spend money on them that I should be saving for more important things.
The thread that's counting up each person's dolls should answer that same question. Again I'm sorry if I made anyone feel bad. Sometimes I should just keep my big mouth shut.

Please don't feel bad. I thought it was an interesting question. A woman i work with told me that her daughter has every doll AG ever made. I don't know if she was talking about just current dolls or even retired ones and PM. But it got me wondering how many other folks had and if anyone had duplicates. I recently bought a doll because, even though i knew i had her, i couldn't find her. I tore the house apart and it drove me nuts so i finally ordered a replacement. But knowing that she's got to be somewhere in my house (unless she had a dog related accident and mom is covering it up) made me feel really guilty for wasting my money. Knowing that other people have lots of dolls, or want lots of dolls, makes me feel better

I didn't find it offensive either, I was interested. I have a small amount of dolls compared to others on this board, but I don't mind hearing how many others have.

Katie, You are so sweet! I doubt anyone took offence to your post. It was very considerate of you to delete it just in case.
Don't worry about keeping your mouth shut- you start some great threads around here.

I wasn't offended, and I only have two dolls!
Honestly, I'm glad some of you have fifteen and twenty dolls, and I'm glad those dolls are in good, loving homes, but I couldn't be happy with a large collection. I'm not sure I'll make it past six.
Then again, I say this now, and I could be the next prasnlrd in twenty years, who knows.

Bless your heart Katie. [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Honestly, I forget that you had Aspberger's because your posts are so wonderful. I do remember when you told us your inspiring story of all you have accomplished despite your disability. Goodness knows, I "stick my leg down my throat" often, on this board and everywhere else. You are very thoughtful.

Katie, I didn't catch the thread, but I've also posted some things that have hurt people's feelings when it wasn't my intention at all. I think one of the main issues with online posts is that we can't sense one another's moods or tone of voice, and it can cause misunderstandings that would have never ever happened if we were talking face-to-face in person. So please don't feel bad!

I'm not familiar with every single person on this board, but I have never gotten the sense that there is any kind of competition among any board members as to who has the most stuff, gets the best deals, etc.
Everyone (those who post, anyway) seems genuinely happy for each other when we get new dolls or other AG things or when someone gets something great really cheap or whatever. I can't imagine that anyone was offended or made to feel inadequate by that thread -- and if they were, it sounds more like a personal problem, not anything you did wrong.
